This blog is from 2007 - 2008. When this was going on: I'm trying to drive three Trabants 15,000 miles from Germany to Cambodia with a bunch of international accomplices. We set off from Germany on July 23rd, 2007, and hope to be in Cambodia by December. book didn't appear til three days before christmas but became my festive read. Forgone were Dr Who and Best of Top Gear as i got sucked into the treking adventures of these little cars and their crews. Elequent, witty and very real and that's just the cars. Dan Murdoch's pretty hot too. Travel with him any time!

I am half way through reading this very enjoyable book i was given for Christmas, and was delighted to hear Dan Murdoch interviewed on Radio 4's Excess Baggage this morning. It is so nice to go through such hardship, frustrations and amusing adventures from the comfort of my own armchair. Thank you for taking me with you Dan.

These guys definately took the path less travelled, or abandoned really, by the silk traders, then the Russians as they covered ground I'd never heard of. Funny, inspiring and loved the brave little trabbies - want one!

Enjoyed hearing you on Radio 4 today. Sounds like an excellent, if fraught, adventure. Congratulations!
